Raijin Fight Wear hails from the inner city streets of Birmingham, UK. The brand was founded by LOZ and Gully Elusive, two individuals passionate about Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and other full contact sports along with street culture such as art and music. After noticing a lack of individuality in the fight wear industry they decided to fuse their interests to create fight wear apparel designs that break conventionality and stand out amongst the mainstream.
Gully Elusive is a prolific street artist who pulls inspiration from traditional Japanese art as well as its more modern counterparts; Manga and Anime. His personal work is also influenced by graffiti, comic art and bass-heavy music such as hip-hop and dubstep. Having trained Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai and Boxing as part of his MMA game, Gully has managed to translate these fighting styles into his street art, capturing the essence of Martial Arts in whole.
LOZ, a former Muay Thai instructor and current Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Blue Belt under Braulio Estima, strives to bring something new to the fight wear scene, and is passionate about innovation and pushing the boundaries in fight wear and its lifestyle products. Having travelled extensively throughout Asia and basing himself out of Bangkok while practising Muay Thai, LOZ now feels that it is the right time to bring something different to the sport and the clothing. Like Gully, he is heavily influenced by graffiti and hip-hop, but also has a passion for contemporary fashion, fine art and Asian design.
The name Raijin is taken from the Japanese god of thunder and lightning typically depicted as a demonic figure beating his drum to summon the elements. The name was chosen to inspire those who buy Raijin Fight Wear apparel to make a statement whether they’re in the cage, on the mats, at the gym or on the street.
Raijin Fight Wear’s products are made using high quality materials and printing processes. You might pay a little more, but we will deliver a quality product that will look crisp for many years to come.
We’re martial artists; we need a shirt that can stand up to the training we do each day. The clothes you wear are one of the quickest ways to tell someone about yourself. At a single glance, you can tell the world which team you support, which film inspires you, or which athlete you cheer for. Our designs show you’re passionate about your sport and the clothing represented by it.
LOZ and Gully are keen to help promote MMA and BJJ in a positive way. Raijin Fight Wear contributes to the scene not just with unique designs and fight wear products but with informative blogs, videos and podcasts, all of which aim to help those who train and compete in the sports.
If you want crisp lines and innovative designs then Raijin Fight Wear is the brand you have been looking for!
